The IGA in Quinby is a fantastic neighborhood grocery store with all you could possibly need! They are very clean, well organized and have friendly employees that make everytime I go and shop there a great experience. They are very efficient and economically the best place to shop too! I would also like to give praise to their awesome manager Mr. Donald, he's very nice and helpful to his customers. Because of his kind heart and for him going out his way to help me, I will forever be a customer to the wonderful IGA of Quinby!!
I'm only giving it one star because you can't give zero. Horrible service especially going through the cashier Linda's checkout line. I been through her line multiple times and she is so high it takes forever for her to ring you up and she is so loud rude and obnoxious. I'm shocked that they even employ people that are bad on drugs like that. The last time I went in there I had to go back in because she didn't give me all of my change. Smh..I'll spend the extra money at Food Lion thank you...
I rarely take the time to post negative reviews online, but this needed to be said. Tonight is the second time I have left the Quinby, SC IGA in tears after how I was treated by customer service. I go in there everyday, just about. Everyone else is great- cashiers, stock people, managers, etc. But tonight when I tried to return a box of generic "alkaseltzer" , ( with the receipt) that I bought few days ago, the young lady working customer service this evening told me I had "opened" the box. Mind you, said "box" is "Top Brand" generic alkaseltzer. The boxes are NOT sealed. You CAN'T open a box that isn't sealed to begin with. Main issue though, was her attitude. It got progressively ruder. Even after I explained that I was returning meds because I just returned from the ER with a ruptured ulcer and was returning the alkaseltzer because it contained an ingredient the doctor informed me that I couldn't take because it could cause the ulcer to worsen, her rudeness continued. Like many of us, I'm on a tight budget. That 3.99$ for the meds I was returning is 3.99 that I could use to buy the right medication the doctor said I COULD take. She even went so far as to argue with me about how the front of the box was slightly "bulging" & that is why she was accusing me of dishonesty. ( I had tucked the receipt into the front of the the box before tossing it in my bag to return, so as not to loose it. This must have caused the offending "bulge" REALLY? Wow. She then continued to mumble under her breath about how she's "seen me return quite a few things here, actually." She's absolutely right. I returned a charger that I purchased there for 30$ that worked for a day then stopped working. It was a hassle, but I was still polite about it. Another time I returned an unopened pairing knife after a friend gave me one of their extra ones. If this "little girl" seems so observant of my returning habits, she'd be equally observant of the fact that I'm a loyal customer in there everyday.I've worked retail for a long myself. I know it can be tough. But treating a customer(or anyone)like this is unacceptable. I let the first incident with this store's customer service go. Not this time. It's unfortunate, but I will be taking this further this time.
Nice clean grocery story with the typical items at a reasonable price. Friendly and knowledgeable checkout clerks accepting all forms of payment including Apple pay, Android pay etc. Easy to get into and out of the parking lot with plenty of free parking including handicapped accessible. Also contains a pharmacy and deli.
The store had good parking. The store was clean, with a great selection of items, at reasonable prices. They had enough cashiers that the lines were not long. It was a good shopping experience.
